Justification to the Title:
IOT BASED REMOTELY CONTROLLED ANTENNA POSITIONING SYSTEM:

 Antenna Positioning System is an advanced system as it helps in positioning the antenna


to detect all types of signals.
 IOT means Internet Of Things, the network of physical objects things that are embedded
with sensors, software, and other technologies for the purpose of connecting and
exchanging data.

Literature survey:
 Surya Deo Choudhary et al[1]The system is designed to position the antenna for effective
communication. The system primarily functions to detect the signal.
 The system will detect the strong signal and will position the antenna according to the strong signal
detected.
 The antenna will be stationary as long as the signal link is established.
 The disadvantage of this is it can detect only strong signal.

Literature survey:
 Prajwal Basnet et al[2] The project is designed to develop the antenna positioning system that can be
operated based on the android application.
 The main application of using this system for proper transmission and reception of the signal.
 To properly position the antenna according to maximum frequency it needs to be adjusted manually.
 The disadvantage of this project is it requires installation of heavy software.

Motivation:
 In electronically controlled antenna positioning system, the accuracy is very less.
 In Android based antenna positioning system, it requires installation of heavy software.
 In IOT based Antenna positioning system it helps to position the antenna with the help of a wi-fi
module.

Existing System(Android based Antenna Positioning System):

 In Android based Antenna Positioning System, tracking capability of an antenna is very less and also it
requires heavy installation of software.
 In electronically controlled Antenna Positioning System, the accuracy is very less.

Proposed System(IOT Based Antenna Positioning System)

 We propose an antenna positioning system which enables antennas to be placed remotely


over IoT.
 Because the position of the transmitting station changes over time even the position of the
antenna should be changed accordingly.
 This is used by measuring the degree of command from remote and input to drive the motor
at the desired degree.

Description:
 Microcontroller At mega 328: Uses an AVR based, low-power 8-bit CMOS microcontroller. It is an
advanced RISC architecture, with 131 Powerful 32x 8 General Working Purposes Registers.
 Accelerometer Sensor ADXL335: static (earth gravity) or dynamic acceleration is measured by using
sensor accelerometer in all three axes. To view the status of the output LCD display is used.
 A step-down transformer is used, the purpose of which is to decrease the AC voltage from 230V to
needed voltage.
 Rectifier circuit uses diodes, which converts AC voltage into DC voltage. The rectifier circuit output
isn’t just DC. It also contains several AC components which are called ripples.
 Filter circuit uses electrolytic condensers to isolate the AC components.
 The three terminal IC regulators 7812 & 7805 are used in this project to provide DC voltages.
 Servo motors are controlled by transmitting Pulse Width Signals (PWM) from an external electronic
device which generates PWM signal values.
