About this Class
 Tough questions of Data Sufficiency for CAT/GMAT with
some strategies to solve them will be discussed. Modified
question of some books will be solved so that you can
benefit and hone(sharpen) your skills.

 This session will help you to understand how to pick up

and visualize, fine tune and strategically work for DS. The
class is expected to be highly interactive so that I can
solve your difficulties and remove your fears about the
subject.
Introduction
 Session about Data Sufficiency
 Strategy more important than knowledge about the subject
 You don’t have to solve the questions
 We have to just conclude if it can be / or cannot be solved
with the given data
 The questions are mathematical or logical
 Tricks and shortcuts explored
 Practice Session
 Confidence building measure taken up

Marking
The correct answer to a question is
A if statement (1) ALONE is sufficient to answer the question
but statement (2) alone is not sufficient;
B if statement (2) ALONE is sufficient to answer the question
but statement (1) alone is not sufficient;
C if the two statements TAKEN TOGETHER are sufficient to
answer the question, but NEITHER statement ALONE is
sufficient;
D if EACH statement ALONE is sufficient to answer the
question;
E if the two statements TAKEN TOGETHER are still NOT
sufficient to answer the question.
Unwarranted Assumptions
 How our wrong assumption can cause disaster in the exam
 You must be very careful not to assume any more than
what is explicitly given in a Data Sufficiency problem
 Like natural, positive, real etc
Checking Extreme Values
 Boundary condition helps us a lot
Degree of Freedom Paradigm
 X+y+z=5
 In triangles

Constrains of Examiner

 Never will you question sufficient alone

Strategy for Elimination

 My personal advice is that go for a sure answer in this

area, or go for very full-proof elimination
