Grammar Unit 11 - Passive Voice

The passive voice focuses on the recipient of the action rather than the performer. It is used when the performer is unknown or unimportant. There are present and past passive forms. The present passive uses "is/am/are" plus the past participle verb, and the past passive uses "was/were" plus the past participle verb. Examples are given of changing sentences from active to passive voice.
