Built-In Flash
A built-in flash bursts the light when the operator triggers the shutter
button. It is inbuilt into the camera, which opens when we switch on the
camera.
Mode Dial
It is a unique feature for the video shooting mode. We can rotate
the dial to select the mode as per the scene. There are creative
and basic zones available.
Shutter Button
The shutter button is to release the shutter while capturing the
image. It works in 2 stages. When we press the button half, it
triggers the AF to activate, and the complete pressing of the button
triggers the shutter to release.
Red-Eye Reduction
After activation of this function, it glows to this lamp after half-
pressing of the shutter button. In the self-timer, it blinks for a
specific time and stops blinking after the picture captures.
Lens Mount
It is an arrangement for the camera to attach the new lens.
To attach a new lens, we have to align the lens to the lens
mount and rotate it clockwise to fix it.
Flash Button
The main function of the flash button is to force the flash to
open before triggered. In some cameras, if we press the flash
button, we can adjust the intensity of the flash.
Aperture
The aperture is a donut-shaped ring that is inside the
lens. The function of the aperture is to control the
amount of light that reaches the image sensor. It controls
the brightness of the image. Aperture helps to blur the
background of any photograph.
Camera Body
It is an assembly of all the internal parts, which are
covered by a plastic cover to protect from foreign
matters. It was available in various sizes, designs,
weights, and shapes as per the manufacturer.Parts such
as lenses and extra flashes are not part of the camera
body parts.
Eyecap
It is a protection against external light.
Viewfinder Eyepiece
It is a rectangle shape frame on the rear side of the
camera. It displays the image which we are going to
capture. We focus on the object through the viewfinder
while clicking the photo.
Erase Button
We can erase/delete unwanted images by pressing this
button.
Playback Button
It helps to see the earlier images we have captured on
the LCD monitor.
Menu Button
This button helps us to get all the functions of the
camera. We can select these functions as per our needs
and requirement.
LCD Display
The LCD monitor is the screen at the back of every
camera. It displays all the settings, images, menu, and
performance. We can magnify the captured image to see
its clarity on the same LCD monitor.
Main Dial
Power Switch
The power switch has 3 modes. ON, OFF, and standby.
With this, we can power ON/OFF the camera. When we
switch on the camera & keep it ON for a prolonged
period, then it automatically goes on to the standby
mode to save power.
Hot Shoe
It is a U-shaped fixture available on top of the camera.
Its function is to attach the extra flash, radio triggers,
external microphones, and light meters to the camera.
Speaker
Whenever we record a video, we can store them in the
memory. While playing this video, the speaker gives
audio sound. With the main dial, we can adjust the
sound.
Strap Mount
It is for connecting straps to the camera. It makes it easy
to handle the camera and protects it from dropping. So
we can balance them while doing photography.
