Introduction To Technology and Learning

Educational technology uses computer hardware, software, and educational practices to facilitate learning. It can help improve relationships between teachers and students, reinvent approaches to learning and collaboration, and adapt learning experiences for all students. There are three roles of technology in teaching and learning: as a tutor to deliver instruction, as a teaching tool to enhance instruction, and as a learning tool to support student learning. Technology supports both teachers and learners by transforming passive classrooms into active learning environments, supplementing instructional materials, and developing higher-order thinking skills in students.
