Mars Model

The MARS model describes the dynamics of individual behavior using numerous variables from several disciplines. It considers individual characteristics like perceptions, personality, emotions, values, and stress that affect motivation. Motivation represents the internal forces that direct a person's behavior intensity. The model also examines ability, role perceptions, and situational factors that can constrain or enable performance. Situational factors include time, economic, physical, and people conditions outside an employee's control.

What is MARS Model :It is collection and presentation of numerous variables drawn from several disciplines and theoretical perspectives which describes the dynamics of individual behavior.

It is nothing but natural aptitudes & learned capabilities required to successfully complete.

Requirement of Ability.
1. Aptitudes :- Aptitudes are the natural talents that helps employees to learn specific tasks more quickly and perform them better. 2. Learned capabilities :- It refers to the skill and knowledge that you have actually acquired

A person s beliefs about specific tasks assigned to him/her, their relative importance and preferred behavior to accomplish this tasks.

You ensure that employees understand their required responsibilities and to show how these goals relate to organizational goals. Staff members must have a clear understanding of where they fit in the organization & how they contributes to the overall mission.

Situational factors are that conditions beyond the employees immediate control that constrain or facilitates his/her behavior and performance.
