CONSTRUCTION
RADIAL TIRES
The radial ply received its
name from the
arrangements of cord in
the body plies of the tire.
They extend radially
across the tire at a 90
degree angle to the
direction of travel, as if
they were in a straight
line from the center of the
wheel.

THE CASING
is composed of one
ply made of steel
