Context and Rationale
Language becomes the most important thing in human life. Because we are as human need an
interaction. Vocabulary is defined as the words that are used by people, both in oral or written forms
for communicating (Hanson & F.M. Padua, 2011). Vocabulary is one of the most crucial elements in a
language. Because without vocabulary we cannot deliver a message. Teaching vocabulary is not easy, it
needs a technique to make the students eager to learn and easy to understand. If a teacher cannot
provide fun and meaningful learning, the students will face the difficulties to catch the material just
like Filipino language wherein it is still unfamiliar for some of them. If we see the problem nowadays,
many students are lack of vocabulary. They just remembered the word for a while and did not save it
in their long-term memory. As the result, the students understand what the speaker say but they do
not know how to respond it. It shows that they do not have enough vocabulary in their mind. To aid
this, we will use Anagrams as intervention for this problem. Anagram is a word or phrase created by
re-arranging the letters of another word or phrase, in which every letter in the original is used in the
creation of the new phrase (Rosadi, 2017). It facilitates the students to make a new word by looking
the dictionary based on the word or phrase given. So the students will know the new vocabulary after
re-arranging the word. This game can be used to teach or review the vocabulary properly (Mollica,
2001). Knowing the advantage of the game, the researchers wants to conduct a research on the use of
anagram in enhancing the Learner's Vocabulary and Spelling in Filipino Language.

Filipino words during the online class will be
determined through observation of class and
their (pre-test/post test survey). They will answer
it through Check-In survey form. The intervention
would be to all students assigned in the breakout
rooms.

Information
The target group of this action research are the
Grade 9-Love students of Bukidnon State
University-Secondary School Laboratory which are
64 in number, out of these are 30 males and 34
females. This group of students are selected
because there are notable students who are not
good in using and understanding of Filipino words.
The overall data were carried out during the
Filipino subject meetings.
Research Approach

Research Location
Bukidnon State University is a state university located in
Fortich Street Malaybalay City, Northern Mindanao 8700,
Philippines. It is the only university in the Province of
Bukidnon that carries the name of Bukidnon in its official
name. Bukidnon State University (BukSU) offers courses and
programs leading to officially recognized higher education
degrees in several areas of study. BukSu also provides several
academic and non-academic facilities and services to students
including a library, as well as administrative services.
Data Gathering

-From existing data, all students from the
breakout room who are having difficulties in
vocabulary and spelling of some Filipino
words.
-The totality of the Check-in survey will be
basis as to the capacity of the students in
understanding ang using of Filipino words.

who are having difficulties in vocabulary and
spelling of some Filipino words.

4.Implement Anagram e-game during discussion in
an online class.
5.Compare pre and post-intervention
observations.
6.The published output of the action-based
