Group Exercise
Group Exercise
DAY 2
ASYNCHRONOUS SESSION
GROUP EXERCISE, WHAT IS IT?
If you’ve ever stepped foot into a cycle studio, tried out a Zumba dance class at
your local gym, or joined in on a quick yoga session, you have been a part of a
group exercise class.
‘’Group exercise’’ simply means that a workout is led by an instructor or
trainer in a group setting.
You can find a group exercise class to fit any and all of your fitness needs.
Whether you are looking for group exercises for your age group or whether
you are brand new to the gym—group exercise is a smart way to get healthy
with your peers. And as research shows, that may be the best way to do it!

WHAT ELSE COULD WE GET FROM
GROUP EXERCISE ASIDE FROM FITNESS?
We can learn a lot more than getting fit from group exercises, this
includes setting group goals, sharing feedback, talking with other
people in the class, using friendly competition, and incorporating
“activities to help people feel like they are part of something — a
sense of distinctiveness.” You may not find this in
every exercise class, but social skills are indeed to improve with
group exercise classes and enjoyment will never be gone.
