Font face/ size
It’s important that when writing in APA style, it is written in a font that is
accessible to all users. The reason for this is because there are legible and widely
available and include special characters such as maths symbols and Greek letters.
These include:
A serif font such as 12-point Times New Roman, 11-point Georgia, or normal (10-
Point) Computer Modern (the latter is the default font for LaTex)
10-point Lucida Sans Unicode
A sans serif font such as 11-point Calibri, 11-point Arial

It’s very important when writing in APA 7th edition, the margin is 1 inch in all
directions (top, bottom, left, right)
To set margins
1. Open a new document in Microsoft Word.
2. Click the Page Layout tab.
3. Click the Margins button in the Page Setup group.
4. Select Normal.
Paragraphing
When writing a paragraph in APA style (7th) it is vital that you begin every line of
the text from the left margin, except the first line of each paragraph. Indent each
line of a new paragraph 1 tab space, which should be set at 1.27 CM or 0.5 inches.

The basics
Next, let’s look at creating and formatting copy. You can do so by clicking on the page
and beginning to type your content. The status bar at the bottom of the document
shows your current page number and how many words you've typed, in case you’re
trying to stay maintain a specific word count

To format text and change how it looks, select the text and select an option on
the Home tab: Bold, Italic, Bullets, Numbering, etc.
To add pictures, shapes, or other media, simply navigate to the Insert tab, then
select any of the options to add media to your document.
Word automatically saves your content as you work, so you don’t have to stress
about losing your progress if you forget to press Save.
