Here are some good habits to keep our digestive system healthy: - Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables - Drink plenty of water to help food move through the digestive tract - Chew food thoroughly to aid in mechanical digestion - Manage stress, which can negatively impact digestion - Get regular exercise to keep the digestive system functioning well - Avoid overeating to not overwork the digestive organs - Quit smoking and limit alcohol intake, both of which can irritate the digestive lining
