Types of Research Questions
Factor-isolating question
 The major concern of this is to categorized, label or name
factors and situations that exist or those that are present in
the perimeter of the research work.
Factor-relating question
 The major concern of this is to categorized, label or name
factors and situations that exist or those that are present in
the perimeter of the research work.
Types of Research Questions
Situation-relating question
 These questions emphasize the observable changes that happen to
variable/s involved in the study as a result of experimentation.

Situation-producing question
 These questions open the opportunity to create a definite course of
action, policies or conditions in order to accomplish or to achieve a
certain goal.
Example;
1. What is the profile of the students in terms of;
1.1 age; Factor-isolating question

1.3 grade and strand; and
1.4 health condition

This study aims to assess the reading comprehension skills in English of Grade 10 pupils of
Agusan National High School, SY 2022-2023.

Specifically, this seeks to answer the following questions:

1. What is the profile of the Grade 10 pupils in terms of sex, monthly family income and
section?
2. What is the level of reading comprehension skills in English of the respondents?
3. Is there a significant difference on the level of reading comprehension skills in English
