How to access accessibility features

1. Click on settings option


2. Scroll down to “Accessibility”
3. “Accessibility” can also be searched using the
search bar at the top of the screen

Live Transcribe
➢ Providers live translation that appears on your
phone screen as text while someone is speaking to
you
➢ Text will automatically rotate with your phone
➢ Text size can be adjusted and line breaks can be
added depending on user preferences
➢ This can be used online or offline
Accessible in over 50 languages
➢ Built for ease of conversation for people who are
deaf or otherwise hearing impaired
Switch Access
★ Allows users to use another device including: volume
buttons, an external keyboard, or an external switch
device (sold by AbleNet, Enabling Devices, RJ Cooper,
and Tecla)
★ External devices can be connected directly to the phone
or via Bluetooth
★ Your phone will scan each item on your screen
★ Each feature will be highlighted so the user can choose
their preferred option once highlighted by using the
switch device
★ Allows users to designate specific touches or gestures
rather than using the touchscreen option
★ Built for users who may have difficulty operating a touch
screen, such as people with motor disabilities
Magnification

❏ Allows users to zoom in and out on the


screen to enlarge or shrink text
❏ Users can pinch the screen using two
fingers to adjust the zoom
❏ Shortcut feature available
❏ Users can lift finger to reset to stop
magnification
❏ Can assist people with visual impairment
❏ Can be used for enlarging text while
reading or typing
Voice Access
● Allows users to control their phone using their
voice
● Can be used by people with visual impairments or
motor impairments
● Can be set to wake up when screen is turned on
and stopped when screen is turned off
● This allows users to swipe the screen, select
options on the screen, open apps, go back, zoom in
and out, search, etc hands free
● Users can activate labels or grid to show each
available option on the screen with a number
beside it
● Once labels or grids are activated the user simply
needs to say the number of the option they wish to
access
● Users can change text with voice commands as
well as dictate

your phone

➔ Designed for people who are deaf or
hearing impaired
➔ Works for videos, podcasts, and audio
messages

➔ May have some transcription errors if used
in a noisy setting, but constantly being
updated to improve this feature
➔ Caption size, style, and color can be
changed
➔ Some models only have English available
while others offer English, French,
German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish
