ACADEMIC CULTURE

 Expectations of Educational Institutions:


Education does not only aim to develop knowledge, but also to
shape personality, independence, social skills, and character.

Academic culture is more likely to be directed at campus culture


which not only aims to improve intellectuals, but also honesty,
truth and dedication to humanity, so that overall campus culture is
a culture with positive character values.
 If a positive campus academic culture can be applied optimally, it will be
able to encourage the growth of a social climate and healthy interactions
between the academic community. As well as being able to explore the
potential of students, and being able to shape them not only from their
thoughts, but also from their hearts, sports, and feelings/intentions.

 Academic culture itself is a universal culture that should be owned by


everyone who involves himself in academic activities. This culture should
be inherent in all university academics, be it lecturers or students.
How to build academic culture?

Goal: Forming a “HEBAT” character
 Literally its mean GREAT
 HEBAT as an acronym:

University Value: Excellent with morality


Must be implemented and synergized.
It is an extraordinary value
 “Growing with Character”.

Strategy: “SMART”
Goal: Positive character:
HUMBLE or HONEST

 All UNAIR students are expected to be people who are not arrogant
about their knowledge.
Not proud of his achievements.
In addition, UNAIR students are required to be honest, convey
something as it is (based on truth and facts). Without being tainted by
other negative interests.
EXCELLENT:

 The word Excellent means that UNAIR students must have


qualified abilities in their respective fields.
Excellent all aspect
 Students are equipped with abilities in each field according to study
programs and faculties while studying.
BRAVE

 Brave means Dare


 Students are expected to have the courage to do something in
society.
 Dare to take the best policies and decisions in society. Doing a
problem solving (problem solving) in the midst of society.
AGILE
 The word Agile means agile, fierce, and fast.
 UNAIR students are expected to have sensitivity and fast execution.
Respond to all forms of problems that arise in society. Have
sensitivity and responsiveness to current issues
TRANSENDENT
 Everything that has been done by students should not be cut off
from God.

 There is no barrier for the Almighty.


In addition, it can be interpreted as unthinkable thoughts.
UNAIR students must have unlimited thoughts.

All member of academic community must have excellent performance in various
forms,
For example: the more international journals,
the more citations,
the more innovations, etc.
UNAIR wants its academic community to become people who uphold the noble

wants to know this limitless knowledge.
