of Fyp Proposal

The document proposes developing a smart walker to assist people with leg disabilities or injuries. It would have three main functions: 1) to aid physiotherapy sessions through automated assistance, 2) to help blind people walk using object detection, and 3) to assist patients in navigating from place to place using GPS. The smart walker system would use sensors like ultrasonic, infrared and cameras along with an Arduino microcontroller. It would detect obstacles and notify blind users through sounds or vibrations. Vital signs could also be monitored remotely for medical supervision. The goal is to develop an affordable, open-source assistive device to help people regain mobility independence.

Problem Statement
 Due to several legs diseases, accidents
people looses the ability to walk on their own.
 These people needs some assistance to walk
or several physiotherapy session to regain
their muscles strength .

Thesis Topic
Aims & Objectives
 To develop a smart automated walker for
physiotherapy sessions .
 To develop a object detection walker for blind
people that helps them in walking .
 To develop a GPS based smart walker for the
assistance of the patients to move from one
place to another without any help.

Methodology of Research
 The smart walker consists of a local system
and remotely controlled system.
 The local sytem is responsible detecting the
obstacles and notifying the blind.
 The remotely controlled system is
responsible for the heart beat value and
physical condition of the patient.

Thesis Topic
 The normally for obstacle detection and
navigation ultrasonic, vision or infrared
sensors are employed .
 The control system uses sounds or vibration
to assits the users.
 This function is usually designed to help the
user with visual problems or to help
navigation on environment with multiple
obstacles

Thesis Topic
 These two system are controlled through
aurdino microcontroller and implemented on
the smart walker
 An important feataure for using the Aurdino is
that it is an open source electronic module
based on flexible easy to use hardwares and
softwares .
 The flow chart for the smart walke is
presented in the Fig :1.1
