 Ceramide : essentially the glue that holds our skin cells together (to keep our skin
barrier intact and healthy )
A healthy skin barrier helps seal in moisture and seal out harmful elements

 Niacinamide (vit B3/Nicotinamide ) : A water soluble b vitamins that helps calm


your skin, reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL), and increase moisture in your
skin’s upper most layer

 Hyaluronic acid : a sugar acts like a sponge that can attract and retain water ,
making it an excellent non-come digenic hydrating ingredient

 Glycerin : acts as a humectant in skin-care product , helping the skin retain moisture

 Propylene glycol: is a humectant

 Propyparaben : acts as a preservative in skin care cosmetics formulation . It is used to
extend the shelf life of a product life by preventing microbial contamination

 Polyethylene glycol : (PEG ) : it helps keep products stable and performs function similar to
Glycerin . Because it can penetrate the skin , it is used as a vehicle to helps deliver other
ingredient deeper into the skin

 Sodium hyaluronate : when applied a topically it is excellent for reducing dryness and
wrinkle

 Sodium benzoate : Ability to prolong the shelf life of skin care products . According Mehr
“ it is a preservative that allows you to not to have to get a new skin care product every month”
