has made a
variety of online
travel and
cultural learning
resources
accessible to you
directly through
NYUHome.
World Trade Resource (WTR) is a tool which
provides country-specific information and
demographic data that will help you as you live
and travel abroad.
With WTR you can
quickly reference
profile pages for
your host country
as well as other
countries you may
be planning to
visit during your
semester or full
year away.
GoWorldwise is a
cultural awareness
training tool that
provides country-
specific information
that can help you
understand how to
better communicate
across cultures and
transition more
smoothly into life in
your host city.
GoWorldwise
enables you to create
a Cultural Profile
through a series of
questions designed to
find out where you
may have cultural
competency gaps
mapped against your
destination location.

and travel advisories that
may impact participants
in U.S.-based programs
abroad, you may want to
consider registering your
trip with the U.S.
Department of State or
visiting their website on a
regular basis.

GeoBlue International
Health Insurance
Students enrolled at NYU’s
global sites outside of the U.S.
receive coverage for the duration of their
program.

Students have access to GeoBlue’s full


international network of
English-speaking primary care providers
and specialists.

GeoBlue also provides additional security


and travel support in cases of emergency.
CSI Personal Property Insurance

NYU, NYU-affiliated residences and


homestay hosts are not responsible
for any lost, stolen or missing items.

You may consider obtaining optional


personal property insurance through CSI
to protect your belongings against theft
or damage while studying away.

NYU Traveler

NYU Traveler is a web-based


portal that is linked to NYU’s
travel safety service.

In case of emergencies, NYU


Public Safety can alert you to
resources and important
updates.

All members of the NYU


community should utilize the site
to either make their NYU travel
arrangements or to register

NYU ID Card
Students are expected to provide NYU ID Cards
to enter most academic center and housing
facilities at the NYU global sites.

Your card will also grant you access to a variety of


cultural institutions and activities throughout
your host country.

Visiting students will be issued temporary NYU


ID Cards for the duration of their program.
