Automatic Washing Machine

An automatic washing machine has several components that allow it to operate without manual intervention once started. It has a temperature sensor to detect water temperature, safety switches to stop the machine if needed, a control panel to select programs, and a motor, pumps and valves to wash and rinse clothes automatically. Some advantages are that it requires less effort than a semi-automatic washer and is more effective at removing stains, though it has higher initial costs and cannot be opened during a cycle.

INTRODUCTION

 A fully-automatic machine does what the name says – they come with
several programs and washing modes that will work at the push of a
button.
 The machine does everything automatically, so once you’ve picked your
program there is no need to do anything else, just turn it on.

COMPONENT WICH REQUIRED

 temperature sensor which senses the washing water
temperature.
 safety cut-out switch.
 keyboard for program selection.
 water level gauge.
 motor for washing drum.
 power switches for motor, heater, etc.
 water inlet valve.
 water suction pump.
USES OF COMPONENT
 Temperature sensor: The Sensor Wash feature senses the incoming water temperature and
automatically adjusts the water temperature to the selection you have chosen.
 Safety cut-out switches: The purpose of an emergency push button is to stop the machinery
quickly when there is a risk of injury or the workflow requires stopping.
 Keyboard: The program selector knob on the washing machine is like a wizard with some
shortcuts. Just select a program that is best fitted to the type of clothes you have put into the
drum of the washing machine.
 Water level gauge: It is use to manage the water level.
 Motor for washing drum: The washing machine motor efficiently helps to agitate the drum in
both forward and reverse directions, and use to enhance the speed of the spin tub.

 power switches for motor, heater: These switches control the speed of the motor and
determine which of the hot/cold water supply solenoids will open during the wash and the rinse
cycles.
 water inlet valve:The water inlet valve controls the flow of hot and cold water into the
washer, the water inlet valve has solenoids, which open and close to allow the water to flow
into the washer.
 water suction pump:The washer pump forces water from the bottom of the appliance into the
drain hose(tube), the washer drain hose loops to the top of the machine and then down to the
drain, enabling the tub to fill. When the water reaches the bend in the hose, it goes out of the
drain.
