How Does it Compare with InfoAlarm?
Large, color touch screen vs. monochrome LCD
Modern, advanced look and feel as opposed to older, “last
generation” LCD
Control units and remote displays with ES TSD look great in lobbies,
InfoAlarm Monochrome Display – No Touch Screen
corridors and other visible areas of the facility.
Touch screen is more intuitive and easier to use
Easier to read, faster response when scrolling through information
and accessing multiple screens
The combination of soft and hard keys on ES-TSD simplifies
operation and gives customers an extra level of fault tolerance
ES TSD downloads are incredibly fast –No more spending hours
on updates in facilities with multiple InfoAlarms
ES TSD will allow us to support a wider array of languages and
make translation much easier
New ES Touch Screen Display
InfoAlarm is old technology and does not meet ULC display
requirements
InfoAlarm is at the end of it’s lifespan and will be discontinued soon

Compatibility, Upgrades and Retrofits
Owners of most existing systems can easily and cost effectively
upgrade to the ES TSD without having to replace existing panels
4100ES Control Units
4100ES with 2x40 or InfoAlarm Displays may be upgraded
Legacy 4100U and 4100+ Panels
Compatible Panels MUST be Upgraded to 4100ES Version 6.01 or higher
NOT available for 4100 Basic Panels (same as for InfoAlarm upgrade kits)
4010ES Control Units
The ES TSD Upgrade Kit is NOT compatible with 4010ES 2 x 40 Display
Panels
Remote ES TSD’s ARE compatible with 4010ES Panels that have 2 x 40
Displays and LCD Annunciators if all Languages are ASCII Encoded
Compatible Panels MUST be Upgraded to 4010ES Version 6.01 or higher
Software Compatibility Requirements
4100ES/4010ES Master Version 6.01 or higher
ES Panel Programmer Version 6.01 or higher
7 Johnson Controls —
Compatibility: Zone Annunciation
The ability to create Zones (similar to 4007ES functionality) has
been added to 4100ES and 4010ES Version 6.01 (or higher)
On Panels, the use of Zones requires the panel and all Remote
Displays on the Panel to be ES TSD’s
Note: other displays will report 2 separate conditions for each Zone
event; i.e. one for the Zone and another for the Individual Device
On Networks, all the displays on remote nodes will operate
appropriately as long as;
Only the Individual Points (and not the zones they belong to) are
declared as External Points in a Remote Node, or
Only Zones (and not the individual points within a zone) are declared as
External Points in a Remote Node
Note:
The number of Active Events for each Zone can be viewed in Zone/Point
Details at the Remote Node
Individual Point Status within a Zone will only be available at the Host Node

InfoAlarm Phase Out Plan
PIDs for most InfoAlarm products will remain open until all ES TSD Agency Listings and Certifications are
received (note: Redundant CPUs will remain available with InfoAlarm)
Once this happens we will announce the end-of-life for InfoAlarm
You will have approximately 60 days to enter your final InfoAlarm orders
Orders that are “booked and confirmed” with Global Products prior to the cut-off date will be shipped with the product
configurations received
Orders not “booked and confirmed” with Global Products by the cut-off date will need to be converted to the ES TSD
We expect to have years of service inventory available for direct replacements to existing systems
Redundant CPU PIDs with InfoAlarm and SPS Power Supplies will NOT be Discontinued
InfoAlarm UI replacements will be available for InfoAlarm direct replacements until inventory is depleted
4100-7153: InfoAlarm 4100U/ES Raised Key (UI Assy only)
4100-7155: InfoAlarm 4100U/ES Flat Key (UI Assy only)
743-185: French InfoAlarm 4100U/ES Raised Key (UI only)
743-325: Display Assy. (small) for Remote InfoAlarm w/cabinet, English
743-326: Display Assy. (small) for Remote InfoAlarm w/cabinet, French
743-327: Display Assy. (small) for Remote InfoAlarm w/cabinet, Int’l
When InfoAlarm inventory is depleted the ES TSD Upgrade Kits will become the service replacement for
existing InfoAlarm User Interfaces
We recommend that you immediately begin using ES TSD for all sales
12 Johnson Controls —
Existing Systems and System Upgrades
The ES TSD is not a drop-in replacement for InfoAlarm Displays
Requires an ES Master Controller for 4100ES and Version 6.01 software for 4100ES/4010ES
Panel configuration and programming will require manual updates in the programmer:
(7) ES TSD vs (10) InfoAlarm user-programmable LEDs
Zone support and new zone/pseudo list card assignments (in most cases no changes needed,
more later…)
Alarm Verification Points need to be moved to Zone List Cards if Zones List Cards are added
(similar to 4007ES)
Message library file updates
Watermark file specification changes
Site Map (not supported in ES TSD)
General Alarm Display option (not supported in ES TSD)
Until supplies run out, you will be able to order InfoAlarm Displays for direct replacement
