ICT Project for Social


Change
• Plan and conceptualize an ICT project for social change
• Develop and construct the ICT project
At the end of this lesson, the students should be
able to:

1. plan and conceptualize an ICT project for social


change; and

2. identify the platforms that will help in the success of


the campaign.
Planning a Social Campaign:
• Before starting a project or
campaign, you should be able to do
the necessary paperwork better
known as a Concept Paper. This
allows experts to see if your project
is doable over the time frame that
was given and if it is significant
enough to be made into reality.
A concept paper is a
document used to
convince a panel of
potential funders to help a
product, program, or
service become a reality.
Five Elements of a Concept Paper:

1.Introduction
2.Purpose
3.Description
4.Support
5.Contact Information
Introduction
This includes your
mission and vision and a
brief introduction of your
project / campaign.
Purpose
This includes the reason
why the project/campaign
is worth your sponsor’s time,
effort and money.
Description
This includes all the necessary
information about the project. It
involves the website/s or page
you are going to produce and
the purpose of each and how
they work.
Support
This contains the budget
needed for the project,
though some concept
papers do not specify any
amount requested from the
sponsor.
Contact Information

This includes information on


how the group can be
contacted.
Sample Concept Paper
Project Name : Education on Wheels
Introduction:
Education On Wheels is a project with
the motto to literate out of school children
also children attending the government
schools but dwelling in slums. We bring
teachers to the door steps of these
educationally deprived children.

ACTIVITY
Activity:
• Form five groups.
• Your group must create a concept
paper.
• Topics of the Concept Paper will be
given or you can create your own
topic.
• Your teacher will act as the panel
(the one to be convinced).
Activity:
• In a manila paper, write the five
elements of your concept paper.
• You are only given 20 minutes
to do the task.
• At the end of the given time,
select 2 representatives to
present your output.
Activity:
You will be rated with the following
criteria:
- Persuasiveness – 20
- Content of the Project - 20
- Over-all Presentation - 10
