Entrepreneur in 1932 Located at Chavara in Kollam. It is the pioneers in the field of mineral sand industry in India. It is an ISO 9002 certified co.. It is the only company in India which produce Rutile grade Titanium Dioxide.
HISTORY..
Started as a pvt co in 1932 In 1956 it was taken over by state gvt and
placed under the control of Industries Dept. It was converted as a limited co. in 1972. From 1984 to 1991 KMML faced many technical problems. In 1991 with the wholehearted support of the work force KMML wiped out the entire accumulated loss.
Objective of KMML
Optimum utilization of mineral wealth found
along the sea coast of Kollam-Alappuzha District To manufacture value added product like Titanium Dioxide and Titanium Metal through Chloride Route Technology. Large scale generation of employment in the state. Overall growth & development of the local area in the particular and the state in general. Technical Collaboration

Threats
Lower sales realization giants like Dupont,
Kers-Mc Gee Ishihara and Crystal. Duplication chances by stockiest. Existing infrastructure is very old and is need to be replaced. Policy change of the State and Central Government regarding sand mining may affect the production. Mining policy of Central and State Government can allow small time centrants to the sector.
