Swot Analysis

KMML was established in 1932 as a private company and taken over by the Kerala state government in 1956. It is the only company in India that produces rutile grade titanium dioxide and has the entire product range under one roof. KMML has constant technology upgrades and availability of cheap, high quality raw materials located nearby. However, KMML also faces weaknesses such as poor quality power, lack of land for expansion, and political interference in company affairs. KMML sees opportunities in the growing demand for its products domestically and abroad as well as potential for value addition in new products, though it faces threats from larger competitors and changes in mining policies.
