PERSUASIVE TEXT

The purpose of this text is to encourage


the reader to act and do something in
line with the writer's wishes.
PERSUASIVE TEXT
This text may persuade the reader to agree with
the writer's point about an issue. He may also be
encouraged to buy something or meet someone.
Phrases used in persuasive words or phrases
1. As for me
2. In fact
3. Actually
4. If I am asked.
-It also often uses words, phrases, or sentences that are
repeated throughout the text to emphasize the topic or
concept being expressed.
-Words are capitalized for emphasis, as well as using an
exclamation point.
-The writer may be expressing his opinions
based on data.
-The use of data will help him persuade the
reader to support his expressed opinion.
-It can be determined that a persuasive text is effective if the
meaning that is intended to be conveyed is sent to the reader and
if he or she has received the intended message.
-How can it be said that one who examines the text he is reading
has been persuaded? Here are some basics.
1. He didn't ask any more questions because it seemed that any doubts
he had were answered.
2. He is ready to enjoy what the text says.
3. He will be able to express a side statement in the text read.
4. He can now argue because he is convinced by the text analyzed.
5. He can now use the contents of the text in real life.
Methods of Persuasion
1. Indicates a principle or belief
-It is an expression that highlights the belief or aspirations
of a person, group of people, or institution.
-It may be about society, people, or personal belief or faith.
Indicates a principle or belief
–Some examples of this are the speeches given by influential
people in society such as politicians, those in government
positions, leaders of various institutions such as the church,
large organizations or organizations, and the like.
2. EDUCATIONAL OR PREACHING
-This is an expression that uses persuasion
with a foundation or basis whose purpose is to
provide knowledge.

-Some examples of this are announcements or
advertisements of government programs and
academic materials.
3. INFLUENCED
-It is an expression whose purpose is to
change the beliefs of an individual, group of
people, or an institution.
INFLUENCED
- An example of this is the radical writings of
political ideologies or religious beliefs of those
who express their teachings.
4. INSISTENT
-This is the declaration that the stability is not yet
complete so that there is a force of belief in the person,
group of people, or an institution that it is able to
persuade.
5. COURTING
-This is expression which is the opposite of coercion.
At this point, a persuader will use different techniques
to get the side of a group of people, or the institution.
