Maths is Fun!

WELCOME year 9
Mr Fitzgibbon’s Maths Class
My expectations of you:
1. Line up outside the classroom, come in and with uniform
correctly in order and take out books/pens/ diary etc out
ready- take any equipment and whiteboard as you come in.
2. Register/sit/copy heading and date from the board and read
through objectives
3. Hands up if you want to ask a question
4. Respect others when they are talking
5. Homework- Give MyMaths and written piece each week. You
can check this on “Show my homework”.
Come and see me please beforehand if you have any
problems- NO EXCUSES!! 15 minute break/lunch detentions
for non- completion

Your books will be marked every 8 lessons or 3 weeks
using the FAR system. You will be expected to respond
to the feedback and required actions after each marking
to help you progress to the best of your ability !!

Behaviour:
This is a very important year for
you and poor behaviour will not
be tolerated. Anyone disrupting
the learning of others will be
removed either to another
classroom or to the isolation
room.

lessons ( marked TIF). They will also appear with this

Try to have a go once you are happy you can do the main
body of questions!!

Homework
One piece of written homework per week.
This is set every Monday.
You will also receive MyMaths homework.
All homework will be placed on show my homework, if
you do not have the app I recommend you download it.
Excuses for no homework will not be accepted on the
due date – come and see me before the lesson.
No homework is a 20 minute detention at break or
lunch. Failure to attend will be a whole school
detention (40 min)
