Theorems Rhombus

The document discusses theorems related to rhombuses. It contains two objectives: 1) to prove theorems on rhombuses, and 2) to find measures of angles, sides, and other quantities involving parallelograms. Several theorems are then presented and proven, including that the diagonals of a rhombus are perpendicular to each other and that each diagonal bisects the opposite angles. Examples are provided to demonstrate applying the theorems.

Theorems

on Rhombus
SLIDESMANIA.CO
Objective:

At the end of the lesson the students will be

able to;
1. Proves theorems on the Rhombus
2. find the measure of angle, side and other
quantities involving parallelogram.

ACTIVITY 1. I WANNA
KNOW MORE!!
■ PREPARE YOUR MATERIALS!
SLIDESMANIA.CO
Procedure:
1. Draw a rhombus that is not necessarily a square. Since
a rhombus is also a parallelogram, you may use a
protractor to draw your rhombus. Name the rhombus
NICE. (Note: Clarify how a rhombus can be drawn based
on its definition, parallelogram all of whose sides are
congruent.)

2. Draw diagonals NC and IE intersecting at R.

3. Use a protractor to measure the angles given in the

table below.
Procedure:
ANGLE ∠NIC ∠NIE ∠INE ∠INC ∠NRE ∠CRE

PROPERTIES OF RHOMBUS
-All sides of the rhombus are equal.
-The opposite sides of a rhombus are parallel.
-The opposite sides of a rhombus are equal.
-In a rhombus, diagonals bisect each other at right angles.
-Diagonals bisect the angles of a rhombus.
