•There are four pairs of wires in an Ethernet
cable, and an Ethernet connector (8P8C /
RJ45) has eight pin slots. Each pin is
identified by a number, starting from left to
right, with the clip facing away from you.
THE TABLES SHOW THE PROPER ORIENTATION OF THE
COLORED WIRES TO THE PINS.
Plug one end of the cable into the tan, two-port end of the cable tester, and
the other end into the other part of the tester with the graphic display
window.
Now, you can
plug your
Ethernet cable
in.
