Objectives:
1. Apply the steps of eclectic approach in
teaching letter sound
2. Incorporate Fuller Technique for reading
word families reinforced with pictures.
2. Utilize appropriate sight words to help
struggling readers experience success in
reading quickly.
3. Make use of teacher made short stories to
develop comprehension using word families.
Volume 1
Lesson 1: Mm
Step 1:
 Show a flashcard of the letter and
the object.
Example:

Step 2:
Guide children
in identifying and
saying words
with the sound
being studied.
Pictures will help.
Step 3:
Show on the board how the letter
is being written. Direction should
be very clear. Count with each
stroke together saying ( one,
two). Repeat slowly.
Step 4:
Lead children in writing in the air
with correct strokes. Have your
back to them as you do it together
saying “one, two…
Step 5.
Have children practice on the
board, then on separate papers on
their seats.
