ABSTRACT :
As we all know the fuel rate like the petrol is increasing price steadily day by day. Again, the pollution due to a vehicle in big
cities and urban areas is increasing continuously. To overcome these problems, an effort is being made to find out next alternative
sources of energy for the vehicles again, it is also not effort to get vehicles (scooters, mopeds or motorcycles) for all the category of
society.
Keeping this in mind, a look for some welcome to cater these economically poor people as well on provide an answer for
the environmental pollution was in progress. the solar operated e-bike developed is driven by “DC hub motor” fit in back axle
housing and operated by solar energy. The solar panels mounted on the extension top of the frame. which in turn drive the hub
motor by using charge the battery when the bike is idle, battery will be charging the battery by the solar. This arrangement will be
substituting the petrol engine, the gear box and the fuel tank in case of a chain sprocket or two-wheeler, chain and gear shifting
arrangement of a traditional bicycle being used by most common man.
As an area of specific work, the solar assisted bike is fitted with a dc hub motor on rear axle of a bike with power rating of
350w and with a travelling speed of around 25-30kemph. it is provided with a pair of lead acid batteries of 22.5 ah each, a
photovoltaic solar battery with capacity of 20 watts, a transformer of 24v 10 amp, accelerator and motor controller of 24v
25amp.There as well a position for charging of the battery with 220-240V ,AC wall out supply just in case of poor solar supply due
to rainy or cloudy weather.
The internet of things(IOT) device is connected to the solar bike and mobile connection also
updated these bike.

ADVANTAGES :
Solar bikes are eco- friendly.
Solar bikes don’t emit harm.
No license needed to operate solar bike.
Less maintains cost compared to petrol bikes.
DISADVANTAGES :
Less suitable for long trips.
Sensitive to whether.
Not suitable for heavy loads.
It requires regular checkups.
APPLICATIONS :
It is used in daily life.
Used in automobile industries.
CONCLUSION :
By using of solar powered bicycles, pollution can be decreased and mainly it will
save large amount fossil fuels it can be used all age group people up to the weight of 120
kg. It can be travel up to 25 to 35 km with one full charge.
In future we can improve speed of the bicycle up to 25 to 30 km/h. Charging time
can be reduced up to 2 to 4 hours.
