1. INTRODUCTION .

A. Information about NATURE OF THE SPACE topic .

Nature of the Space addresses spatial configurations in

nature. This includes our innate and learned desire to be able
to see beyond our immediate surroundings, our fascination
with the slightly dangerous or unknown; obscured views and
revelatory moments; and sometimes even phobia inducing
properties when they include a trusted element of safety.
The strongest nature of the Space experiences is achieved
through the creation of deliberate and engaging spatial
configurations commingled with patterns of nature in the
Space and natural Analogues.

B. Information about KTT KIM LIEN.

In 1960, the future district of KTT (Khu Tap The literally area of

collective housings) was merely composed of rice fields located
South of the former village-road Kim Liên (its chua (1) and
its dình (2) were renovated between 1999 and 2002), but at the
other side of the protecting dyke the Thành, in an area that was
outside of the city until the beginning of the XXth century. Basic
services and institutions were integrated into the new area,
HA NOI CITY
which, because of its location close to the village of Kim Liên KTT KIM LIEN
and despite the deficiency of the maintenance network, enjoyed
a certain form of integration into the historical city. The former
village Kim Liên marked the Southern entrance of Hanoi. It was
not specialized in a specific type of production (ceramic, paper,
flowers, bamboo...) as were most of the villages in Hanoi, but in
Region: Red River Delta
a specific service: the one of hairdresser.

B.OVERVIEW KTT KIM LIEN.

Kim Lien KTT is the first building in the North built in 1960 according to the will of President Ho Chi Minh. It is
arranged in the form of a sub-zone, with the original design including 22 blocks of 4-storey high buildings arranged
in long and parallel lines, with a system of kindergartens, kindergartens, schools, stadiums, and department stores. .

2. About the site .

C.IDENTIFICATION.
Trees on the roof : In Kim Lien dormitory area, planting trees on the roof has not been
popularized and has not been given priority in the construction and protection of the
surrounding living environment. Some buildings here have applied the solution of
planting trees on the roof to create a green living space and reduce the impact of
emissions on the environment. However, the number of trees on the roof is still not
enough to create a green and beautiful living environment.
Underground plants : The density of underground trees in Kim Lien collective area is
still quite low. Some flower gardens and trees here have been planted and protected,
creating an airy green space. However, due to limited construction land and lack of
space to plant trees, the density of trees has not reached the desired level.
Green plants on the balcony : Some apartments in Kim Lien apartment complex have
used the solution of planting trees on the balcony to create a green living space and
minimize the impact of emissions on the environment. However, the number of trees
on the balcony is quite small and not enough to create a green and beautiful living
environment.

As part of the site investigation , the series of maps presented in this last chapter identifies the elements assessed to be highly critical for the Large scale
development of the project . It is made exclusively on an area of 60,000 square meters -known as Zone B , the first section of Kim Liên City built in 1962 to
shelter families of rather high - rank personel from state - owned enterprises .

6. Conclusion.

Kim Lien collective area is home to many cultural and historical elements of Hanoi capital. We
tried to learn about the daily routine of the people living in the old ten-year-old dormitories that
often close themselves quietly behind the bustling urban places. Thereby also to learn about the
space of nature that exists in this ancient place. Compared to some other dormitories in Hanoi, the
blocks of Kim Lien's dormitory usually have a certain distance designed by North Korean engineers
to form a very large courtyard. Alternating large courtyards are planted a lot of trees, this is also a
play area and activities for children in the dormitory. At the beginning of construction, all the yards
located between the two dormitories were equipped with single and double bars for young people to
exercise. There is also a table tennis table or a net to play badminton. The complex included
buildings, dormitories, kindergartens, schools, commercial areas, and was the residence of Hanoi
station staff and a number of other industrial parks at that time. Interspersed with large yards are
planted with a lot of green trees (mainly mother of pearl).
The trunks are big and lumpy, 2-3 people can hug them, and the canopy spreads like giant
umbrellas to protect the houses. Many households also "take advantage" of the trunk as a place to
hang things, over the years, they unknowingly consider them as "members" in the house.
Undeniably, when a green tree "squeezes" in the middle of the house, the air inside becomes cooler
without the need for air conditioning. In the summer, the whole neighborhood enjoys shade from
trees, and people comfortably sleep under the common playground. Creating a space of landscape
architecture, green, clean and beautiful environment, contributing to the urban architecture in the
direction of civilization and modernity. The role and importance of green space has a great effect on
the city such as increasing the aesthetics, creating an abundance of shapes and colors of the urban
landscape. It directly affects and affects many different areas of life, including ecological benefits,
social benefits and economic benefits. Creating green space in the city is a way to promote
sustainable development and improve the quality of life. Some of the basic benefits of green space
can be mentioned here, such as: - Ecological benefits: filter toxic gas, dust, prevent noise, improve
urban environment, prevent and reduce risks (earthquake, forest fire, biodiversity protection... -
Social benefits: entertainment, aesthetics, aesthetics, psychological impact, education ... This place
easily becomes a place where people can live and easily enjoy when with a friendly living
environment, everything around is so close.
