Resignation

 voluntarily relinquishes in writing his/her position effective on a


specific date  
 deemed to have tendered his/her resignation upon receipt by the
appointing authority of the former’s written resignation
 pending receipt by the personnel of the action taken by the
appointing authority on the resignation, the personnel shall remain
in office  
 acceptance of resignation is mandatory.
 until resignation is accepted, the tender of resignation is revocable

Ipso Facto Resignation

• considered ipso facto resigned from his/her office


upon the filing of his/her certificate of candidacy

• the movement of employee from one position to another


which is of equivalent rank, level or salary without gap in the
service

• notify the head of the department or agency in writing where


he/she is employed at least thirty (30) days prior to the
effective date of his/her transfer
