FITTINGS
 A fitting or adapter is used in pipe
systems to connect straight sections
of pipe or tube, adapt to different
sizes or shapes, and for other
purposes such as regulating (or
measuring) fluid flow.
TYPES

FITTINGS

ELBOWS
 also known as “ells”, are used to
change the direction of a pipe
system. It is installed between two
lengths of pipe (or tubing), usually a
90 or 45 degree bend.

TEE
 is a component of plumbing system
which is in T-shape. It is having one
inlet and two outlets, outlets are
arranged at 90 degree to the main
line connection (inlet).

SOCKET
 is a fitting that simply
goes over the end of a
pipe.
ADAPTERS
 used to change the end of a non-
threaded pipe to male or female
threads as needed.
PVC CAP
 Caps prevent moisture from entering
the structure, keeping it clean and
giving it a finished look.
PVC PLUG
 PVC plugs allow contractors to close
the end of a fitting with a spigot or
male threaded fitting.
PVC UNION
 are pipe fittings
designed to connect
two pipes together
without the use of a
sealant or traditional
glued coupling.
NIPPLE
 is a fitting, consisting
of a short piece of
pipe, usually provided
with a male pipe thread
at each end, for
connecting two other
fittings.
Types of Nipple
Close/Running Nipple
 A nipple where there
is no unthreaded pipe
between the two
connecting ends.
Types of Nipple
Hexagonal Nipple
 is a male threaded fitting. It has a
hexagonal section in the center for easy
torqueing , tightening or loose. It is ideal
for use in pumping and industrial
applications to connect two other fittings.
Types of Nipple
Reducing/Unequal Nipple
 is a short piece of pipe with female
threads on one side and male
threads on the other and with one
end being smaller than the other.
Types of Nipple
Hose Nipple
 features a male threaded connection on
one end and a hose barb on the other
end. The hose barb may be the same
size as the pipe connection or it may be
of reduced size.
Types of Nipple
Welding Nipple
 has a threaded connection on one end
and normal cut pipe at the other end. The
unthreaded end of the pipe provides
more surface area for the use of welding
materials to make the stronger
connection.
COUPLING
 is a very short length of pipe or
tube, with a socket at one or both
ends that allows two pipes or tubes
to be joined together.
 A device that serves to connect the
ends of objects.
BUSHING
 A pipe fitting used to join two pieces of
dissimilar sized piping. There are many
different joining methods but the most
frequently used is threaded on both
ends. There are many different joining
methods but the most frequently used is
threaded on both ends.
BENDS
 is a generic term for any offset or
change of direction in the piping.
90 Degree Bend Low Heel Inlet
Elbows

 is used to change the direction of

flow. And Adjust the direction of your
PVC piping.
90 Degree Bend with High Heel Inlet

 90-degree elbow is for

connecting two pipes
at an angle and used in
residential and
commercial drain,
waste and vent
systems.
90 Degree Bend with Side Inlet

 is used in residential and commercial

drain, waste and vent systems.
WYES
 built in the shape of the letter “Y”, this
fitting is made to connect three pipes.
45 Degree Wye
 Traditional wye with a straight in and
out and a branch at 45 degree to the
flow.
22 Degree Wye
 Traditional wye
with a straight in
and out and a
branch at 22
degree to the flow.
Manifold Wye
 This wye has
the entry and
exits all in the
same direction.
120 Degree True Wye
 equally divert the
flow from one source
to two destinations
for balanced & equal
flow.
Double Wye
 A double-wye fitting may be used in
horizontal drain lines.
Sweep Tee Wye
 A sweep tee
wye is that
some people
refer to as a
sweep wye.
Barb Wye
 Barb wye are attached directly to a
common hose end that in turn leads
to a split into two or three outlets
depending on fitting type.
VALVE
 A valve is a device that regulates,
controls, or directs the flow of a fluid
by opening, closing, or partially
obstructing fluid flow.
Gate Valve
 used in almost all fluid services
such as air, fuel gas, feedwater,
steam, lube oil, hydrocarbon, and all
most any services.
Globe Valve
 is used to stop, start, and regulate
the fluid flow. Globe Valves are used
in the systems where flow control is
required and leak tightness is also
necessary.
Check Valve
 prevents backflow in the piping
system. The pressure of the fluid
passing through a pipeline opens
the valve, while any reversal of flow
will close the valve.
Ball Valve
 is a quarter-turn rotary motion valve
that uses a ball-shaped disk to stop
or start the flow. The ball valve is
Smaller and lighter than a gate valve
of the same size and rating.
Butterfly Valve
 is a quarter-turn rotary motion
valve, that is used to stop, regulate,
and start the flow. The butterfly valve
has a short circular body. Butterfly
Valve is suitable for large valve
applications.
