 TCAST- General Overview

Basic Terms Used:

1 FSC Field Services Business Users who sit in Pleasanton, San Ramon ,Deer Park and
Toronto.
2 BO Back Office It is same as FSC.
3 FO Front Office or Brach Office These are mainly recruiters who call candidates and fill in positions.

5 Client Timesheet Approver for candidates

6 Alt We Date Alternate Weekend Date Date used by TCAST . This date refers to the end date of the actual
week candidate worked in and not when the timesheet was submitted.
It can be Friday or Saturday or any other day that client chooses. e.g.
if candidate worked for 04/01/19 to 04/05/19 (Mon to Fri) but submitted
timesheet after two weeks the Alt We Date will be 04/05/19.
If can be 04/06/19 if client chooses the work week to be (Tue –Sat).
Benefits are calculated based on Alt we Date.
7 Work We Date or Work weekend Date Date used by TCAST . This date is always Friday of the Week when
RHI We Date candidate worked no matter what is the Alt weekend date is.
8 Pay End Date Date used by Payroll . This date is always Friday of the Week when
candidate is getting paid. It depends on the timesheet submission.

14 AEM Application Error Management Rows sent by SFDC that are missing a required data element in the field
mapping should not be inserted into the Core tables in TCAST. The rows of
data that do not get inserted should be written to an error table viewed in the
‘Application Error Management” (AEM) module in order to make corrections to
this data in SFDC
15 SPID Sales Person ID

16 WGE Work group Enrollment Time and labor(determines OT/DT) and Payrecord creation process

 Types of Candidates
Types of Candidates: In TCAST all the candidates are refferred as Temp
employees but payroll further categorizes these temp employees as below:

Type Meaning

Hourly (H) These are the temp employees for whom RH runs the payroll.

Salaried professionals –These type of temp staff are entitled to some benefits like paid
SPS (F)
minimum hours ,CTO Accruals.

Independent Contractors – RH does not run their payroll. K(Canadian Independent

 Application high level overview
Front Office Application TCAST Payroll
(Salesforce)

Maintains below information TCAST and Payroll have different tables. Once Pay record is created by TCAST Payroll picks up

There were two separate Emplids for Candidates and Clients for US and Canada in old legacy system MJP but when we moved to Salesforce the above table
shows how EMPLID was generalized for both US and Canada.
In feed from salesforce to TCAST we get GLB PPL # for each US employee and CAN PPL Number for each Canadian employee.
