Modelling Applications

The document discusses several applications and benefits of computer modeling. Computer models are cheaper than alternative methods and allow users to alter variables, repeat tests, learn from "what if" scenarios, and model dangerous situations safely. The document also lists several common uses of computer modeling in industries like banking, education, manufacturing, and entertainment. It notes advantages like computers not needing breaks and being able to repeat actions indefinitely, as well as disadvantages like an inability to react to unexpected events and only being able to respond as programmed.

MODELLING

APPLICATIONS
 Computer models are cheaper to set up than alternative methods that could be
used to predict what will happen in a system
 Other benefits include being able to:
• make alterations and quickly see the outcomes.
• repeat tests several times over.
• learn from 'what if? .
• model dangerous situations safely.

USES OF COMPUTER MODELLING IN

SPREADSHEET
APPLICATION IN
MANUFACTURING
INDUSTRIES
 Banking.
 Electronic Banking. Online banking is a type of computer-based banking. Banking online allows customers
to access their account information, execute transactions, and communicate with their bank using the
internet.
 Education.
 Computers have revolutionized the teaching profession in multiple ways. Teachers use computers to record
grades, calculate averages, manage attendance and access data on student performance in online programs
and assessments.
 Industries.
 Computers are used to perform several tasks in industries like managing inventory, designing purpose,
creating virtual sample products, interior designing, video conferencing, etc. Online marketing has seen a
great revolution in its ability to sell various products to inaccessible corners like interior or rural areas

DESCRIPTION COMPUTER CONTROL

APPLICATIONS
 Entertainments.
 Computers are used in film industries for music composition, film editing and creating animations
in cartoon films. Here, Computer graphics and virtual reality modeling are the techniques used to
make scenes, which cannot be produced in real.
 Hospitals.
 Computers in hospitals are also used to monitor blood pressure, heart rate, and other critical
medical equipment. The computer monitoring system also collects useful data from patients
 Data processing.
 Data is processed with modern technologies using data processing software and programs. A set
of instructions is given to the software to process the data and yield output. This method is the
most expensive but provides the fastest processing speeds with the highest reliability and accuracy
of output.
 ADVANTEGES
 Computers do not need breaks
 Computers can repeat actions in an identical way indefinitely
 Computers can work in environments that are dangerous for people
 DISADVANTEGES
 The computer cannot react to unexpected events as perhaps a person could.
 It can only respond in the way it has been programmed.
 People sometimes want to know that an expert is in control even if a computer
could do it as well.
