INTRODUCTION OF COMPANY
• Hero MotoCorp Limited, formerly Hero Honda, is an Indian multinational
motorcycle and scooter manufacturer headquartered in New Delhi. The
name of the company was changed from Hero Honda Motors Limited to
Hero MotoCorp Limited on 29 July 2011.

• The new brand identity and logo of Hero MotoCorp were developed by the
British firm Wolff Olin. The logo was revealed on 9 August 2011 in
London, to coincide with the third test match between England and India.

• The company is one of the largest two-wheeler manufacturers in the


world, as well as in India, where it has a market share of about 37.1% in
the two-wheeler industry.

interpretation of the financial statement. It is also
known as vertical analysis.

• This method analyses financial statements by taking


into consideration each of the line items as a
percentage of the base amount for that particular

Advantages & Disadvantages
• Liquidity and solvency position cannot be measured
by Common-Size Statement. It considers the
percentage of increase or decrease in various
components of sales, assets, liabilities etc.
• In other words it does not help to ascertain the
Current Ratio, Liquid Ratio, Debt Equity Capital
Ratio, Capital Gearing Ratio etc.
