A hyperlink is a link that will direct you to
another page or part of the same document.
Hyperlinks ca be a word, a phrase, a symbol or
image, a different element in the document,
another hypertext document, a file, or a script. It
is activated by clicking on the linked element
usually underlined and of a different color.

MS Word creates a hyperlink when you type the
address of an existing web page, such as
www.google.com, if the automatic formatting of
hyperlinks has not been turned off.
