Firstly and foremost, I would like to thank the authority of MATA
GUJRI COLLEGE (FATEHGARH SAHIB) for providing us with a
good environment and facility to complete this project .
Further I express my deep sense of gratitude to principal Dr.
Kashmir Singh and our HOD Dr. Dilip Singh Kachweya for
encouraging me to take training this organisation.
Also , I am very thakful to Dr. R.L Rangila and Prof. Maninder
Singh for their valuable guidance , keen interest and
encouragement at various stages of my project period.

Objectives
 To provide opportunity to the students for studying the rural situations.
 To gain direct farm experience .
 To study the activities of rural peoples.
 To document the indigenous knowledge of farmers .

Supervision
To designated RAWE course teachers of the college are responsible to
monitors , supervise and guide the students. The program coordinate
reach the village in time as per schedule timetable to help the students and
supervise their work and the resolve the student problem , if any.
Introduction
The most important area in which the development needs to be
continuously accelerated is agriculture , which is the backbone of
countries economy. In order to bring changes in the knowledge ,
skills and attitude of people engaged in the farming , sustained
effort is necessary and thus could be achieved only through
purposeful education. In India , Randhawa Committee of
ICAR( 1992 ) recommended the Rural Agriculture Work
Experience (RAWE) program for imparting quality , practical and
productive oriented education for agriculture degree programmed.
RAWE program for under graduate students begin in1994 and was
offered during 8th semester . The basic aim of RAWE is providing
an opportunity for the students to have first hand experience of
rural life and gain practical experience in promoting technologies
in agriculture among farmers .
