INTRODUCTION
IN 1785 less than the decade after the US declared independence
from England ,Nikola tesla invented the first remote control .Early
1900’s:fast forward a few centuries , and the industrial revolution has
paved the way for the invention of the first home appliances.
A home automation system is a techonological solution that enables
automating the bulk of electronic ,electrical ,and technological based
task within the home .It uses a combination of hardware and
software technologies that enable control and management over
appliances and devices within the home.
WHY HOME AUTOMATION NEED
Good for the environment .In a time when we are all becoming more environmentally aware ,home automation provides a good solution
to help preserve our natural resources .home automation products can reduce power consumption and automatically turn off lights and
appliances when they aren’t in use.
SMART HOME FEATURES
A smart home ,also known as a
home automation system ,is a
house with automation
functions,both basic and advance
.ex-smart home features include
security monitoring
capabilities ,temperature
modulation,lighting controls and
much more.
HOME AUTOMATION CONTROL
You can control almost anything remotely –turn lights or appliances
on and off,open door locks ,shut the garage ,monitor energy
use,check temperature and humidity sensor or even have motion
detector notify you instantly if movement is detected on your
property. Smart home technology allows users to control and
monitor their connected home apps,smartphones or other
networked devices .this allows for more efficient energy and electric
use as a well as ensuring your home.
SECURITY
Some home automation devices employ best security practices,such as bank-level
encryption ,while others lack even the basic ability to change a default password. Your ultimate
security will depened on which devices you use and how to use them.The ideas realted to
automation of tasks were in existence during the time of greeks after that as well ,and during
the industrial revolution automation system were developed . Home automation system is
nothing but a term used to describe the working of all household appliances .A centrally
controlled LCDtouch screen panel is the best example of home automation system as it is used
to control the appliances like air conditionres,heaters ,security system,video system,audio
system,home theater installation ,kitchen appliances and lighting system

Smart wiring is a system that enbales the combination of many
differents types of wires used around the home into a single platform
,which allows for the intergartion of many different smart home
system and sensor through out your home and the capacity to add
more at later date if you want to do so.
PROCEDURE
1. Connected the home automation system hub to power.
2. Turn ON the internet and connect the hub.
3. Download the app from the internet.
4. Come up with an account.
5. Connect your smart devices to the central monitor (the hub) step by step
following the on –screen prompts.

1. Automatic lights .you can use sensors to turn on lights when someone enters a room.

MICROCONTROLLER IN

In this project ,a micro controller is used from
the 8051 family ,and the loads are interface
with the 8051 microcontroller by using TRIACs
and opto–isolator .the remote operation is
achieved through any Andriod smartphone
with in a graphical user interfaced based touch
screen operation.
APPLICATION
Home automation system baesd on touch screen
DTMF based home automation .
GSM based home automation.
Arduino based home automation system.
