INTRODUCTION
• The Lancet, 2017 – As of August 2017, there are 36 M people that
are blind, globally.
• DOH, 2017 – More than 2 M people in the country suffer from
visual impairment. At lest 30, 00 are blind.
• The researchers came up with their own instrument to assist the

CONCLUSIONS
• The AGSUS-EVVI is capable of performing its expected task in
providing aid by notifying the visually impaired and its environment.
• It was able to provide accurate distance, has a long period of usage and
is very friendly.
• The system design was not appropriate which caused malfunction in
some instances creating inconsistent results.
• The SMS system constantly send messages to inform the care
taker/guardian of the visually impaired that the AGSUS-EVVI is
online.
RECOMMENDATIONS

1. Upgrading the system’s microcontroller to increase

programming power and capacity.
2. Using Arduino Nano can shorten the pathway of electricity to
eliminate wiring malfunctions.
3. Consult a product designer to produce a simplistic and easy
design.
RECOMMENDATIONS
4. Integration into the accessories (e.g., walking cane) to allow for
more comfort and movement.
5. Casing for the system should be converted to a lightweight but
durable material
6. Increase the voltage of the power bank and provide a cooling
system to prevent overheating.
