CONCERNS
The Philippines National Security defines national
security as a condition that protects the well being of
people,government institutions,territory and
independence.
The Duterte Administration published in 2017 its
“national Security Policy for change and well being of the
Filipino people,2017-2022.
Eight national security interest

1. Public safety,Law and order and Justice


2. Socio-Political Stability
3. Economic Solidarity and sustainable development
4. Territorial Integrity
5. Ecological Balance
6. Cultural Cohesiveness
7. Moral and Spiritual Consensus
8. International Peace and cooperation

1.Internal Environment Threats- Refers to threats
that operate within the bounds of the Philippine
territory

To make these agenda success ,the Governmnet seeks
to improve the following as a great source of national
power and economic growth.

Human Capital Development- investing in


1.

the education of youth as the cornerstone of


development and national building.
2. Legal Framework for National Security- enacting
appropriate legislations to address threats while protecting
the nations interests.

3. Defensive and law Enforcement Spending and


Modernization-strengthening the defense and peace-
keeping capacities of the military and the police.
4. Strategic Industries/Flagship Projects- renewing the
emphasis on sustained economic growth and national security
by pursuing strategic projects under the public private
Partnership or through the national security and flagship projects
that focus on the improvement of the country’s science and
technology,environmental and transportation program.
