Daniel was a godly man who is worthy of our meditation. He was a man of purpose who purposed in his heart to uphold God's law despite pressure. He was a man of principle who refused to compromise his convictions even under threat of persecution. He was a man of purity as his opponents could find no fault in him. He was a man of prayer, kneeling in prayer three times a day with thanksgiving, demonstrating his humility and dependence on God.

1.DANIEL WAS A MAN OF PURPOSE.V 8

A.DANIEL PURPOSED IN HIS HEART.DAN 1:8


 A Young boy in a strange land,Daniel was faced a challenge to violate Gods law.
 Despite his youth and pressure DANIEL PURPOSED IN HIS HEART to uphold the
law of God,no matter the cost.
 Because of his stand,God granted Daniel favor in the sight of others.
 God honours who honours him.
B.EVERY CHILD OF GOD NEEDS TO BE A PERSON OF PURPOSE.
2.DANIEL WAS A MAN OF PRINCIPLE.

A.HE REFUSED TO COMPROMISE HIS CONVICTIONS.


 As a young man,by refusing to eat the kings meat.Dan 1:8
 As an old man,by refusing the gifts of king.Dan 5:13-17
 Under the threat of persecution,by refusing to obey the decree of king.Dan 6:10
B.God wants every child of God stand by their principles and by their
words.Ps 15:1-5

 He choose obedience over opportunities


 He chose faithfulness over favor
 He chose devotion over decree
 He chose testimony over treasures
 He chose commitment over compromise
 He choose character over comfort
4.DANIEL WAS A MAN OF PRAYER.

A.HIS PRAYER LIFE…Dan 6:10


 He knelt in prayer-a demonstration of humility
 He prayed three times-a demonstration of dependence upon God.
 He gave thanks –a demonstration of his gratitude.
 He pray since early days-demonstrating his faithfulness to God.
