Reading Progress Tool


in MS Teams

OBJECTIVES
▪ Show understanding and appreciation of Reading
Progress as a reading assessment tool;
▪ Familiarize with its features; and,
▪ Create a reading assignment on MS Teams.
TRADITIONAL ORAL READING ASSESSMENT

1. We ask the
student to sit
beside us and
read a passage.
We mark and count his/her miscues
as he reads.
We get the following data:

HOW TO USE THE READING PROGRESS TOOL

1. Go to
https://teams.microsoft.com/

2. Sign in using your Deped


email.
3. Create a team.

You can attach your reading assignment
in 2 ways.
OPTION A- IMPORT WORD OR PDF
1. Select the reading passage file you
want to upload.
2. Assign reading level, genre, no.
of attempts, time limit, etc.
3. Click “Assign” and you’re done!
Don’t forget to add your
students in your
team/class.
OPTION B- BROWSE SAMPLE LIBRARY
1. Select
Grade Level.
Choose a
passage then
click
“Select”.

MONITORING STUDENTS’ SUBMISSIONS
▪ Go to Teams.
▪ Select your class.
Click “Assignments”. Then select a specific
assignment.
You will see the status of each student and
give necessary feedback or reminders.

ADDING STUDENTS TO YOUR CLASS
▪ Go to
Teams.
▪ Click “Add
member”.
Ask your student to check his email.
