We mark and count his/her miscues
as he reads.
We get the following data:

We calculate the oral reading score or accuracy:
We calculate the reading rate.
Pedro was asked to
read the passage “The

House,” a Grade 5 Pre-
test passage which has
103 words. It took him
1.5 minutes (90
seconds) to read the
passage.

HOW TO USE THE READING PROGRESS TOOL

instructions and set the due date.
8. Click the “Attach” button.
Select “Reading Progress”.
You can attach your reading assignment
in 2 ways.
OPTION A- IMPORT WORD OR PDF
1. Select the reading passage file you
want to upload.
2. Assign reading level, genre, no.
of attempts, time limit, etc.
3. Click “Assign” and you’re done!
Don’t forget to add your
students in your
team/class.
OPTION B- BROWSE SAMPLE LIBRARY
1. Select
Grade Level.
Choose a
passage then
click
“Select”.
2. Assign reading level, genre,
no. of attempts, time limit, etc.
3. Click “Assign” and you’re done!
MONITORING STUDENTS’ SUBMISSIONS
▪ Go to Teams.
▪ Select your class.
Click “Assignments”. Then select a specific
assignment.
You will see the status of each student and
give necessary feedback or reminders.

ADDING STUDENTS TO YOUR CLASS
▪ Go to
Teams.
▪ Click “Add
member”.
