Proses akhir dari akuntansi adalah laporan keuangan.
Dengan membaca lap keu, manajemen, pemilik perusahaan, dan
siapapun yg berkepentingan bisa mengetahui kondisi keuangan
perusahaan. Ironinya dari sekian bnyk pihak yg bkepentingan trhdp
produk ini, yg sungguh2 memahami logika laporan keuangan tdk
banyak.
Hal tsb bisa dimengerti krn mereka mmg berasal dari kalangan yg
berbeda-beda, mgkn malah lebih bnyk dari luar akuntansi dan
keuangan. Bisa saja yg orng accounting jg tidak paham.
Contoh bisa sj jurnal dan lap keu yg dihasilkn scr teknis benar dan
bisa tetapi ketika ada masalah mreka mengalami kesulitan untuk
menelusuri dr mana sumber masalahnya.
Misal pendapatan tinggi tp labanya kecil? (apakah krn cost besar)?

Cost Principle – or historical cost principle, dictates that
companies record assets at their cost.
Assumptions
Monetary Unit – include in the accounting records only
transaction data that can be expressed in money terms.
Assets
Resources a business owns.
Provide future services or benefits.
Cash, Inventory, Equipment, etc.
Liabilities
Claims against assets (debts and obligations).
Creditors - party to whom money is owed.
Accounts payable, Notes payable, etc.
Equity
Ownership claim on total assets.
Referred to as residual equity.
Share capital-ordinary and retained earnings.
Revenues result from business activities entered into for the purpose
of earning income.
Generally results from selling merchandise, performing services,
renting property, and lending money.
