Arithmetic Series
An arithmetic series is a series whose related sequence is
arithmetic. It results from adding the terms of an arithmetic
sequence.
For example:
Arithmetic sequence (list):
2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,...

Arithmetic series (sum):


2+4+6+8+112+116+...

The sum of the first terms in an arithmetic sequence is called partial sum.
The partial sum is denoted by the symbol Sn.
Below is the general form of the arithmetic series formula:

n - the number of the terms being added


a1- the first term
an - the nth term(last term)
For example
S100= 100 [ 1+ 100 ]
1. Find the sum of the first 100 natural numbers.
