INTRODUCTIO
N The researchers want to get rid of the coconut husks
which is being unexploited in such areas like coconut
farms and coconut factories. The researchers believe
that all parts of the coconut tree have tons of uses in
our daily life, from leaves and coconuts, down to roots
but the coconut husk is the waste product of the
coconut tree. With the curiosity of the researchers,
they thought of a machine that makes coconut husk
useful out of its abundance by grounding it into little
bits as raw materials for other products such as base
or raw material for solid products.

This study aimed to determine the usefulness and
effectiveness of the machine as Young Coconut Husk
Grinder.
Specifically, it will seek answers to the following
questions:
1.) What are the features of the young coconut husk
grinder?
2.) How long will it take to grind the young coconut
husk using the machine on the following weight:
a.) 25 grams
b.) 50 grams
c.) 75 grams
3.) Does the amount of coconut husk affect the
quality of the grinded
coconut husk?
4.) What is the general level of acceptability of
the Young Coconut Husk
Grinder in terms of:
a.) Functionality
b.) Strength
c.) Efficiency

The amount of coconut husk can affect the amount of

time to completely grind the young coconut husk. As the
amount of dropped coconut husk increase, the time of grinding
will also increase.

For a smaller amount of coconut husk, finer husk particle were
produced but for an increasing amount of coconut husk, the
percentage of fine and more fine quality of husks are almost
the same. Thus, the amount of the coconut husk does not
significantly affect the quality of the grinded coconut husk.

 SUMMARY
The study was developed due to the need of recycling the young
coconut husk because of its harm to the environment when
unexploited. Young coconut husks have bad odor when
abandoned carelessly and serve as a habitat for mosquitos that
bring harmful illnesses. The main objective of the researchers is
to design a device that maximizes the use of the young coconut
husk using a grinder. This device grinds young coconut husk to
generate fine products of the husk for other uses. Moreover, it
would help the society produce more new or raw materials for
other products out of the grinded the young coconut husk.It
helps the environment reduce the harm of pollution and lessens
the risk of illnesses by increasing the uses of the young coconut
husk through recycling.
 CONCLUSION
The researchers were able to produce the Young Coconut Husk
Grinder and based on the findings, the product was acceptable and
effective.
1. The features of the Young Coconut Husk Grinder that enables to
grind the young coconut husks are the feeder, shredder part and grinder
part and the motor.
2. The grinder uses faster time to grind than human labors’
grinding. The amount of time varies to the amount of young coconut
husks that was dropped in the machine.
 3. The amount of young coconut husk that was put
on the machine slightly affects the quality of the grinded
coconut husk. The quality of the grinded coconut husk is
not significantly affected by the amount of coconut husk
to be grinded.
4. Based on the result of the survey, functionality,
strength and efficiency of the Young Coconut Husk
Grinder is acceptable. The functionality and efficiency
were rated as perfectly acceptable and the strength is
rated as acceptable.
