Why is it important to plan your
lesson before entering your class?

POLICY GUIDELINES ON DAILY LESSON PREPARATION
FOR THE K TO 12 BASIC EDUCATION PROGRAM

 These guidelines aim to support teachers in


organizing and managing their classes and
lessons effectively and ensure achievement of
learning outcomes.
DETAILED LESSON PLAN (DLP)

- Contains a detailed description of the steps


a teacher will take to teach a particular topic.
- Contains the following parts:

IV. PROCEDURES
V. REMARKS
VI. REFLECTION
I. OBJECTIVES

- Are statements that describe the expected


learning outcomes of the learners at the end
of the lesson.

- Pertains to the subject matter or the


specific content that the lesson aims to
teach.
III. LEARNING RESOURCES

- List of resources that a teacher uses to


deliver a lesson such as references and
other resources needed for the different
activities.
IV. PROCEDURES
- Details the steps and activities the teachers
and learners will do towards achievement of
the lesson’s objective.
-Flexibility is encouraged in the implementation
of the procedure.
