MY CLASSROOM
MANAGEMENT
PLAN
PHILOSOPHICAL STATEMENT
As a teacher, we want to foster a safe, respectable, comfortable
and positive classroom learning environment. We will employ the best
teaching and learning tools available in the classroom to improve
student’s learning. We’ll also develop rules in the classroom that will
promote in creating a positive atmosphere for learning where students
are aware of what is expected of them. Furthermore, we will create
lessons that support students in becoming lifelong learners and guide
them every step of the way as facilitator of their learning, and give
them the attention they need to flourish.
CLASSROOM RULES AND PROCEDURES
We believe that rules and procedure are vital in the classroom because
they inform students of what is allowed and not allowed to do. This teaches
the students how to behave safely and appropriately in the classroom. So, in
order to maintain the discipline and order in the class, we will establish the ff.
rules and procedures:
• Be on time
• Be polite and respectful at all times
• Use positive language
• Maintain the classroom clean at all times
• Whatever happens inside the classroom, will stay only in the classroom
• Only one student is allowed to used the restroom
TEACHER-STUDENT RELATIONSHIP
A successful teaching-learning process and effective classroom
management depend greatly on the teachers and students relationship. As a
teacher, I will treat my students fairly, without favoritism and with respect. I
want my students to feel that they are no more or less than anyone. I’ll pay
close attention to them to monitor their improvement. I’ll also express my
concerns to them and show them how much I value and admire them. I want
them to enjoy and exercise the same right and opportunities. I’ll be their
friend and their parents who is always ready to hear them out. As a teacher,
I’ll also create a fun learning atmosphere that promotes student involvement
and the growth of soft skills so they may feel a sense of belonging in the
classroom.
SCHEDULE AND TIMEFRAMES
Regarding schedules and timeframes, we will make a timetable in an
orderly manner and adhere to it strictly. We’ll develop lessons that not only fit
the time but are suitable for all learners. We will consider the time allocated
to my topic so that we don’t consume the time for the next subject. To keep
students' attention on our topic, we assure them that every part of the lesson
will be exciting and engaging. We’ll provide activities that promote student
participation and meet the time frame as well.
CLASSROOM STRUCTURE, DESIGN AND ARRANGEMENT
I believe that classroom setup is an important component in a learning environment because it is an
essential piece of classroom management to support both teaching and learning. Therefore, I plan to design
and create a classroom with physical ambiance that can help prevent behavior issues as well as promote and
improve learning. To begin with, I'd like to have a classroom with layout of student desks that is easily adaptable
to a group work setting as well as adaptable to a more traditional setting when individual work, writing, or
assessment is taking place. The arrangement varies depending on factors such as room size, number of desks,
and other items that must be incorporated into the layout. The placement of other classroom items such as
paper, pencil sharpeners, and bins to submit work should be carefully planned to minimize traffic and
distractions. The room in general should advocate learning in its’ décor and arrangement—not too much decor
that would lead to distraction. Learning decorations such as posters and charts will differ slightly by subject. Like
for English corner, there should be posters and other visual aids that relate to the discipline, as well as with
other subjects. I would also like to incorporate having daily trivia corner inside the classroom to further reinforce
learning among my students. I also intend to design my classroom based on specific theme to make it more
interesting place for my students to learn, such as a theme based on color and so on. Through these, the
classroom would become unique and vibrant space for learning and gets rid of the sterile and bland
environment that may exist without the decoration of the room.
CLASSROOM SAFETY RULES AND PROCEDURES
Increased student involvement, attendance, academic success, and a positive
learning environment are all associated with safe classrooms. In my opinion, by
planning an orderly classroom, I will be able to establish a secure environment for
learning. For me, students receive a strong and positive message from a well-
organized classroom: You and your education are valued, and this space was
designed with you in mind. Further, sharp objects should be stored in a special location
out of the reach of students. Reiterating the importance of respecting one another’s
ideas when speaking in front of the class and cultivating an atmosphere of respect for
one another’s work are other strategies that can help prevent bullying and promote
student safety. As a teacher, I will also emphasize safety by instructing students on
how to handle hot materials as well as sharp objects like scissors and knives during
experiments. Additionally, a first aid kit and emergency contact information will be
placed within the classroom in case of an emergency.
STRATEGIES FOR REWARDS AND
CONSEQUENCES
Classroom rewards and consequences are crucial components of
classroom management. This style aims to maintain control and
efficiency at all times in the classroom. With this, I will give rewards to
recognize good behavior or accomplishments among pupils through
small things and giving them time to play. On the other hand, for
consequences, I will call the attention of those students who are
misbehaving and reprimand them by having them clean the classroom.
1. What salient components have you noted?
The salient component I have noted is that a teacher should not only
be an instructor but also a good classroom manager. The success of
teachers and students ultimately rests on a classroom culture that supports
and fosters learning; hence, it is important to manage the classroom
effectively. Moreover, the needs of each student should be known by the
teacher. For students to learn efficiently, they must feel secure both inside
and outside of the classroom. Another crucial component is setting
classroom rules. This is because it brings orderliness and smooth flow inside
the classroom. In other words, a good classroom learning environment
promotes students' self-regulation, lessens the incidence of misbehavior,
and boosts productivity
2. Why is there a need to utilize the information to
create your classroom learning management plan?
In order to have an effective classroom management plan, I think it is
necessary to use the information when constructing my own classroom
management plan. It is because this information will serve as the
foundation for creating my own classroom management plan. The
information will help me determine whether this plan will work for diverse
students. This will also assist me in managing my students effectively so that
the lesson may proceed without interruptions from their disruptive
behavior.
REFLECTION
Our realization after creating our classroom learning management
plan is that it is not easy to handle kids when you forget to implement
rules at the beginning of the lesson. It will be a total mess if you let
them control you. As a teacher, you must be the master or the manager
of your class. You have to implement rules and regulations at the
beginning of your lesson up to the last day of the year. There must be a
consistency to earn their respect and attention. You have to repeatedly
recite to them what are the rules and consequences if they violated the
rules. They must know their boundaries and limitations in the class. In
addition, praise the students when he/she does something pleasant
and punish a student when she /he violates with the use of positive
language and by talking to them in private. We, as a teacher must not
insult any one of them because it may result in isolation.
