INTRODUCTION

Definition of other immediate inferences :-


• Immediate inferences are logical conclusions that can be drawn directly from a given
statement or proposition without the need for further reasoning.
• Other immediate influences are similar but provide additional insights and deductions
beyond the traditional immediate inferences.
IMPORTANCE OF OTHER IMMEDIATE
INFERENCES

• Expands reasoning beyond traditional methods.


• Enhances understanding of logical relationships.
• Aids in problem – solving and generate innovative arguements
affectively.
OTHER IMMEDIATE INFERENCES: MATERIAL
OBVERSION
Explanation of material obversion as an OMI:-
• Material obversion changes the quality (affirmative or negative) of a proposition while
keeping the subject and predicate terms the same.
• Example:- Let’s take the proposition “All dogs are animals.” Its obverse would be “No
dogs are not animals.”
Here, the quality of the proposition has changed from affirmative to negative, while .
the subject and predicate terms remain the same.
IMPORTANCE OF MATERIAL OBVERSION

• Material obversion is a useful tool in logical


reasoning and helps in understanding the relationships
between different propositions.
• It is important because it allows us to draw conclusions
about a proposition without changing its meaning.
OTHER IMMEDIATE INFERENCES:
INFERENCES BY ADDED DETERMINANTS
Explanation of inferences by added determinants as OMI:-
• Inferences by added determinants involve adding specific details or qualifiers to the
original statement to create a new inference.
• These additional deteminants refine the meaning of the statement.
Example:- if the original statement is “All dogs are mammals”, an inference by added
determinants would be “ All dogs in this park are mammals”.
This inference narrows down the scope of the original statement.

Explanation of inference by complex conception as an OMI:-
• Inference by complex conception Involve combining or merging two or more statements
to form a new inference.
• Example:- if the original statement are “All dogs are mammals” and “All mammals have
fur”, an inference by complex conception would be “ All dogs have fur”.
This inference combines the two original statements to generate a new one.

CONCEPTION

Inference by complex conception allows for


the synthesis of information, identificatiin of
relationships, and formulation of
comprehensive conclusions.

INFERENCES BY CONVERSE RELATION
Explanation of inference by converse relation:-
• Inference by converse relation involves deriving a new statement by reversing the subject
and predicate terms in the original statement
• Example:- if the original statement is “All dogs are mammals” an inference by converse
relation could be “All mammals are dog”.
This inference reverse the subject and predicate terms to create a new statement.
IMPORTANCE OF CONVERSE RELATION

Inference by converse relation helps us


identify alternative prospective and
relationships between statements.
