DISSECTION OF

FROG
PROCEDURES
1. Prepare all the materials needed for the
dissection of frog.
2. Wear the gloves, hair net and face mask.
3. Get the frog on a container and start the
dissection proper.
4. Place the frog on the dissecting tray,
ventral surface facing up.
5. Put a push pin in every hand and feet of the
frog.
6. Get the surgical blade, and start to cut the frog's
abdomen.
7. Continue to cut through the layer of frog’s skin until
you reveal the internal organs beneath (heart and
lungs).
8. Locate and observe the frog’s heart and lungs activity.
9. Present your activity to your subject teacher for
recording purposes.
10. Clean the area where you conducted the dissection,
wash your hands and keep all the materials.
