Science 4 Quarter 4 Week 3 Co 2

The document discusses the water cycle and its importance. It covers the following key points: 1) It describes the different stages of the water cycle, including evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection. 2) It explains the processes involved at each stage, such as water evaporating from oceans and transpiring from plants, condensing to form clouds, and raining or snowing back to the ground. 3) It emphasizes the importance of the water cycle for day-to-day activities and maintaining life on Earth.

THE IMPORTANCE OF WATER CYCLE

SCIENCE 4, Q4, Week 3

Prepared by:
Teacher
House Rules:

1) Listen to your adviser at all times.

2) Raised your hand if you want to answer the question.
3) Read everything with understanding
4) Do your work diligently cooperate to your group at all times.
5) No other stuff should be done during the discussion.
6) Always open your line of communication for some important
reminders and concerns

Observe the illustration , write the correct letter that explain the corresponding number.

a. ) The water vapor cools and condenses to become droplets, which form clouds
b. ) If enough water condenses, the drops become heavy enough to fall to the ground as rain or and snow
c. ) Ocean water evaporates and rises into the air.
d. ) The sun heats the ocean.
e. ) Some rain collects in ground wells. The rest flows through rivers into the ocean.
Motivation:

* What is your opinion about

this?

* What do you realize or feel

about the presence of sun’s
heat and light?

Transpiration
Water even evaporates from plants. This is
called transpiration. Plants, such as trees, lose
water out of their leaves after they have
absorbed water from the ground. The rate at
which water will evaporate or transpire from
plants depends on the temperature, wind, and
humidity.
Respiration
This Process occurs when the body of
humans or animals releases sweat. This also
incorporates in the process of Water Cycle.

Elaboration/Extension
Write TRUE or FALSE

1. Plants wouldn’t grow without precipitation.

2. The rain will stay only in the surface water.
3. The water still evaporates without sun’s heat.
4. The fog that we see in the sky is also a form of
condensation.
5. Water Cycle will discontinue when there is no
heatcoming from the sun.
Why is water cycle

b.) Happens when the vapor in the air gets cold and changes back
____2. Evaporation to liquid, forming clouds.

c.) Happens when enough water has condensed in the form of

____3. Condensation clouds that the air cannot hold anymore.

____4. Collection d.) Happens when the sun heats up the Earth’s bodies of water
and creates vapor.

B. Draw water cycle illustration and label it with its processes.
