David Beckham

David Beckham was born on May 2, 1975, in Leytonstone, London, England. He
grew up in a working-class family and was the middle child of three siblings.
Beckham showed an early passion for football and would often play in the park with
his father, Ted. He attended Chase Lane Primary School and later Chingford County
High School, where his talent on the football field became evident. At the age of 11,
David Beckham joined the school's football team and quickly became a standout
player. His skills caught the attention of a scout from Manchester United, one of
England's top football clubs, and he joined their youth academy at the age of 16. This
marked the beginning of his professional football career, which would eventually see
him become one of the sport's most iconic figures. Beckham's childhood and early
dedication to football laid the foundation for his remarkable success as a professional
athlete.

David inherited his parents' love for Manchester United. He had problems with
height. David has a younger sister, Joanne, and an older sister, Lynne. David's
grandfather was Jewish, and David himself referred to himself as half Jewish. He
was given the middle name Robert in honor of the footballer Bobby Charlton. He
attended one of Bobby Charlton's football schools in Manchester and got the chance
to train with Barcelona as part of a talent competition. By age 16, Beckham had left
home and was playing for United’s training division. He grew up loving the game of
football. All David ever wanted to be was a professional football player. Fortunately
for David, he was skilled in football and progressed quickly up the ranks of football
until he reached the top in 1993 at the age of 18 and played his first game for
Manchester United's first team.
