This medication, used to treat
symptomatic bradycardia acts by
blocking the action of
acetylcholine (parasympathetic
neurotransmitter).
What is atropine?
The category of medication is an
adrenergic antagonist which can
be used to reduce the heart rate in
patients with tachycardia.
What are beta blockers?
This medication, a potassium
channel blocker, is an atrial and
ventricular antidysrhythmic
medication used to treat atrial
fibrillation.
What is amiodarone?
This medication is used to reduce
the ventricular response rate in
patients with atrial fibrillation
with rapid ventricular response.
What is diltiazem?
These are serious side effects of
amiodarone therapy.
What are lung and liver damage?
This medication can be used as
an antiplatelet medication and an
anti-inflammatory agent.
